Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a physio?

You don’t need a referral to see a physio, but it doesn’t hurt if you already have one!

Can I use my private health insurance for treatments and group sessions?

Yes, if you have Physio cover as part of your extras cover, you will receive a rebate or financial contribution for your consultation from your Private Health Insurer, regardless of the type of Physiotherapy treatment. We provide on-the- spot claiming for your convenience on the day of service.

Do I need an assessment before joining a group/class?

Yes, all new patients need an assessment before joining our group sessions. This allows us to tailor the exercise to meet your health and fitness goals

How does Physio differ from chiros/osteos/exercise physiologists?

Good question. At the end of the day, different things work for different people. You can be assured that our Physiotherapists have trained in our top Australian hospitals alongside medical specialists in their field. Our Physiotherapists are registered by the same board which means we must abide by the same standards of high quality care, professional development and evidence based treatments. This ensures our Physiotherapists are best placed to help you to feel better, to move better and to keep you active and healthy for life!

How long are our appointments?

Your initial assessment is half an hour. Group sessions are mostly one hour.

Are we a Private Health insurer preferred provider?

We are not at Brighton or Windsor. We can only manage this through our programs at Caulfield Hydrotherapy.

Do you still offer traditional hands-on Physiotherapy?

Yes, that is the core of what we do! Our Physiotherapists use a range of hands on techniques, including dry needling, and combine this with our active approach. Using hands on treatments combined with tailored exercise in our state of the art facilities, we help you feel better, move better and stay active and healthy for life!

How can I pay?

  • Payment is expected on the day of consultation.hicaps-lge
  • Private health care rebate is available for clients with relevant extras cover. For your convenience, we have Hicaps on-the-spot claiming facilities available.
  • Credit card facilities including American Express are welcome
  • We welcome rebate for Veterans’ Affairs
  • Medicare, TAC & WorkCover will incur a gap payment to cover the difference between the health care rebate and the cost of service.
