Platinum Physio’s own Lizzy Sloan takes on the OxFam Trailwalker
They are grinning now, but will they still be grinning at the finish line?
This month, Platinum Physio is supporting Lizzy, one of the physios from our Brighton clinic, and three crazy friends, who have signed up for the Oxfam Trailwalker. Participants in this event walk a gruelling 100km in up to 48 hours to raise money and awareness for Oxfam. Oxfam Australia works with local communities to help them create sustainable solutions to poverty.
Training and preparation for a physical challenge like this is vitally important. Over the next few weeks Lizzy and her friends and will spend the majority of their weekends clocking up kilometres on some of Victoria’s beautiful walking tracks.
Lizzy told us “I signed up for the event because I wanted to set a personal challenge for myself. I love walking and hiking, and I’ve managed to convince my boyfriend to spend more time in the outdoors, while helping to raise money and awareness for a great cause!”
At Platinum Physio we’re supporting Lizzy as part of our commitment to helping to make the world a better place, and because training for Oxfam helps Lizzy stay active and healthy to live the life she loves!
If you would like to donate to the team ‘Two Feet In’ they would be very grateful!
Their target amount is $2000, and you can donate in person at Brighton reception, or by clicking on the following link:
Thank you for your support. Stay tuned for updates…
