One in three Australians over the aged of 65 suffer with Chronic Pain, with 50-80% of people suffering with chronic pain being undertreated. It is Australia’s third most costly health burden, and contributes to 40% of forced retirements. Untreated chronic pain can lead to significant human suffering, with the rate of depression being 20% higher in those suffering from chronic pain.
